Johanna Grobler is a registered nurse and midwife who manages the maternity ward and NICU at La Verna Private hospital.
She has been nursing for the past 32 years. She is now a certified lactation consultant with her own practice number which enables her to practice anywhere in South Africa.

I began the lactation course in 2019 through the University of Witwatersrand. The course thought me the latest trends of breastfeeding. It has also given me more confidence in assisting new mothers with breastfeeding.
Through me doing this course La Verna Hospital has now been established as a breastfeeding friendly hospital. Through the different platforms used during studying it broadened my horizons and I was able to relate this information learned, to my staff.
