Merise studied at Stellenbosch University where se obtained her BSc in Dietetics and is practicing privately as a registered Dietitian and South African Certified Lactation Consultant in Kakamas and Keimoes in the Northern-Cape. She always had a special interest and passion for pediatric feeding, including breastfeeding, but it was only after the experience of breastfeeding her own son, that she knew she wanted to expand her knowledge and skills to be able to better support mothers. She sees it as a great privilege when mothers allow and trust her to be part of their breastfeeding journeys.
